Restoring antiques and treating damaged or degraded coatings, like any aspect of thoughtful furniture care, begins with an examination and evaluation of the damaged areas. \u00a0This examination has three main components.\u00a0<\/p><ol><li>Visually ascertain the damage and, if possible, formulate an idea as to the cause of the deterioration.\u00a0<\/li><li>The second method usually employed to evaluate the coating condition is to test the surface with solvents, to see if and how the coating reacts to individual solvents or combinations of solvents.<\/li><li>Thirdly a formulation of the restoration strategy will be completed with the customer.\u00a0<\/li><\/ol><p>\u00a0<\/p><h3>What if I want to change the color and sheen, can I do that as well?<\/h3><p>Yes, you can!!! We have a large variety of wood samples with colors and sheens to choose from<\/p><h3>Can you also repair my antique or add casters or hardware to my antique?<\/h3><p>Yes, we can!!
